What is a line, and what can it do?

Line is a connection of two or more points. It’s the most basic visual element that involves relationships. Line is the most frequently used tool in all sorts of records. We visualize many forms of information with lines — in the form of letters, measurements, and grids. By the form of line used, as the pen drawings in this work, we can read various concepts: ruler, music score, language, sound, and timeline. Consequently, line is not only a visual tool but also a conceptual frame — we believe in linear thoughts and time. White box points with a line, and video timeline illustrates how this conceptual frame applies to digital interfaces too. Finally, the lines deliver information "from" one "to" another and connect us.
